Peppermint Soda

Peppermint Soda is a multi-award-winning PR & marketing agency in Manchester specialising in PR, content and social media.

A marketing communications agency dedicated to helping you stay ahead in an ever-evolving marketing landscape.

After all, it is what we do every day.

We work as part of your marketing team to deliver strategic campaigns using the most effective vehicles for your particular audience  whether that is media relations, social media, literature, advertising, e-mail marketing or video.

Jean-Philippe, an economics graduate from University College London, worked as a currency dealer in the City of London, before moving to Manchester in 1991 to join kidswear company, The Dalya Group. He was appointed managing director in 2003.

In 2007, after a management buyout of The Dalya Group, Jean-Philippe brought his commercial acumen to the role of joint managing director at Peppermint PR. Under his guidance, the business quadrupled over the space of three years, helping to attract a host of prestigious clients. Jean-Philippe initiated the diversification of the agency into other activities, namely creative and digital, which would eventually lead to the rebranding of the agency in 2013 as Peppermint Soda, a fully integrated marketing communications agency. A black belt in karate, he is also a governor of North Cestrian Grammar School.

Both Jean-Philippe and Suzy have been featured in Insider Magazine’s 42 under 42 round-up of leading North West business figures.

At Peppermint, we pride ourselves on knowing businesses and B2B PR inside out. Whatever the sector – be it professional services, retail, energy management, financial services, commercial property, recruitment, healthcare, insurance, digital and technology or manufacturing – we’ve got trade and business-to-business PR sewn right up.

Business-to-business PR is far more to us than trade press releases, in-depth features and expert commentary. We incorporate social media management into the mix, along with copywriting, media strategy, blog writing, event management, direct mail, public consultation and, where necessary, crisis communications.

Call it trade, corporate communications or business-to-business PR, it’s all in a day’s work at Peppermint. With a team of seasoned B2B PR professionals, ex-journalists and people who have extensive experience of running their own business, our team understands what it takes to project a company at its best.

We appreciate that each and every business is different – and that each company has very specific objectives and ideas about what return on investment looks like. At Peppermint Soda, we strive to get right under the skin of every corporate client. Our job is to translate your business objectives into a meaningful communications strategy – one that not only works really hard for you, but also perfectly complements your own sales and marketing activity.

By reaching your target audiences with relevant, insightful and thought-provoking messaging and content, we can help position you as experts in your field. The ultimate aim is to assist in promoting your business and securing those all-important new clients.

Putting a Crisis Management Strategy in place is considered a vital component of any business plan today, more than ever.

Peppermint Soda’s Elite Crisis Communications team creates robust crisis communication plans so you can keep a cool head in times of crisis.

Working with a Crisis Communications agency is a sound business investment as Crisis Communications is probably the most difficult element to design of any communications strategy.

This is because when negative stories about your business are posted online, they have the potential to cause real, lasting, widespread damage very rapidly. It’s called “going viral”. The outcome can be potentially devastating for the public and company directors, and cause the share price of a public company to tumble, frightening investors and — for both private and public companies — resulting in consumers abandoning your products and services forever. Meaning the end of your business.

The problem with knowing how to respond to a crisis is no one knows exactly what shape a crisis will take, nor when a crisis will hit. Crisis preparedness is critical to implementing an effective crisis response designed to suit any scenario.

GETTING YOUR BRAND SEEN AND HEARD

It doesn’t matter which industry you’re in or how big you are – contrary to popular belief, size doesn’t necessarily matter. Whether it’s helping blue-chip companies or up-and-coming independents, our consumer PR team has a proven track record across a broad range of industries. Our B2C clients include multiple retailers, FMCGs, healthcare, food and drink, charities, e-tailers, fashion and beauty brands and cosmetic surgeons. We love a challenge and getting the media to shine its spotlight on what you do is what we do best.

It all starts with a coffee and a chat (or a peppermint tea if you’d prefer). We work closely with B2C brands to really get under their skin and see what makes them tick. We don’t see the companies we work with simply as clients – they’re much more than that. They’re colleagues, we’re part of their team and it’s our mission to shout about them from the rooftops.
