Managing director, Kerry Holden, says ‘Prior to the acquisition of Mediascene, Mailbird was almost purely focussed on mail production. Operating out of London, we were super agile and technologically driven. We were growing at over 30% year-on-year and had a scalable business model, but took the decision that scaling the business in London was not perhaps the way forward. I wanted to acquire a business that had service offerings that Mailbird didn’t – and vice versa. Enter Mediascene – a company with a well-established track record in direct marketing that had the capability to do its own development.
