At Central Mailing Services, a UK based fulfilment house we handle many mailings. This could be for clients who require anything from five hundred items to five hundred thousand items at a time.

We also offer a hand-fulfillment and hand-matching service.

We operate out of a single 46,000 sq. ft site, at Gravelly Industrial Park, Birmingham equipped with a production centre full of automated mailing machines.

With an in-house Team of x15 Data processor’s & Developer’s our Bureau Department handle all aspects of data processing: UK & Overseas data sortation, forecasting & presentation, data cleansing, capture, profiling, validation, evaluating and segmenting to ISO: 27001 standards and work to & GDPR compliance. Our Developer’s create and maintain our bespoke systems and work hard to keep our network and server secure. CMS hold the Cyber Essentials & NHS Toolkit certifications.

We have invested in state-of-the-art printing technologies by: Domino, MCS, Astrojet, Kirk Ruddy, HP, Xerox & Konica Minolta for variable data printing. With x6 high speed inkjet machines with solvent ink configuration we can print onto virtually any substrate including polythene. We laser personalise to incredibly high standards using our in-house Xerox & Konica Minolta Print Centre.

We provide high-speed & accurate automated envelope enclosing for mailings from C6 to C4 & everything in between; with a virtually limitless capacity. We have x5 high spec production envelope enclosing machines all with camera technology / selective insertion & the ability to operate 24/7.

Central Mailing Services are still one of the major polywrap mailing producers in the UK with x4 high speed production polywrapping machines each with unique features. We are able to produce polywrapped mailings 24/7 with a virtually limitless capacity. We offer a spectrum of polythene options including biodegradable and potato starch film. We operate Sitma & Norpak machines.

In-House Data Management & Bureau Services

Our in-house Data Management & Bureau Team consists of over x15 highly skilled Data Processors & Programmer’s.

We can handle all elements of data processing, cleansing and management. Our role is to prepare client data for mailing to ensure the highest levels of accuracy.

We can offer a free Data Health Check consisting of:

• PDF reporting: identifying data improvements with clear itemised costs versus live financial savings
• Identify & remove: duplicates deceased, Gone Away’s & movers
• Update records using PAF Validation & opt-outs: MPS, TPS
• Options to flag, extract & remove records

Central Mailing Services are able to provide discounted rates for all Domestic & International postage.

We have developed a bespoke routing matrix (SELECTA) which automatically selects the most competitive postal carriers for every mailing we process using real- time costs. The result is often multiple carriers per mailing to determine the best overall price.

We work with tried and tested postal carriers which includes but is not limited to Royal Mail; enabling us to achieve the best possible postage rates for our clients.

As an established mailing house, we produce and send huge volumes of mail on a daily basis, this gives us excellent buying power and allows our clients to benefit from wholesale discounts on postage.

We output over 200 million items of mail per year.

We have even produced significant postage cost savings for experienced Direct Mail clients by suggesting minor changes such as:

• Slight Design amends to achieve machine readable discounts
• Changing content to achieve Advertising Mail discounts

We have an impressive Print Centre in a temperature controlled purpose built environment producing high-quality digital print to ISO 9001 Quality standards, with the ability to print 24/7.

We utilise our trusted print partners for all Litho print requirements for a one stop shop solution ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

We offer both digital and litho print services using a combination of our in-house Print Centre; consisting of 7 digital production printing presses complemented with high speed print finishing and a selected number of high-quality litho print partners.

We also have a new Nipson Digiflex cold fusion continuous mono laser printer with a full Hunkeler finishing system.

Litho printing is a form of printing that uses wet ink and printing plates, whereas digital printing uses electronic files and dots of colour to produce an image using toner.

Litho print is generally more suitable for longer print runs, and digital print better for shorter runs and those with variable data. We can produce digital print to rival the quality of litho print.

Digital Print overview:

• More cost effective for short print runs as there is less initial setup involved e.g no plates
• Quick turnaround – no additional drying time
• We can personalise at the same time including variable images using XMPie software
• We can colour match & produce print quality comparable to litho printing

Litho Print overview:

• Higher initial cost for setup e.g making printing plates
• Cheaper cost per copy on colour generic longer runs
• Printing not limited to four colour process – can make use of special or spot inks to enhance content
• Longer turnaround when compared to digital print
• Items cannot be personalised due to use of printing plates
