When we began, all websites were originally hand-coded in languages PHP, HTML, MySQL and Javascript. To reduce costs and lead-time, we moved to using Content Management Systems (CMSs) for the majority of our websites around 2008. This included emerging CMS platforms as Joomla/Mambo, GetSimple and WordPress.
Our current CMS of choice is WordPress owing to its security, frequent updates, and ease-of-use by clients who need to make updates themselves for free.
Developing hand-coded, bespoke web apps such as Park On My Drive and Peers4Me still requires a solid programming skillset, and even CMS themes and plugins need some modification.
