PAB Studios Ltd

Hello and welcome to PAB Studios.  1989 was a pretty momentous year.

Kylie and Jason were flying high at the top of the charts, the iron curtain was being drawn for good and Mick Lee was setting out on a mission to bring some straight-talking marketing expertise to Yorkshire.

Successful campaigns take full advantage of different formats and methods both online and offline.

As an unbiased, full service agency we can advise you on everything from press to radio advertising, from SEO to SEM and back to good old direct mail and print.

Whether you’re looking for a helping hand with a specific area or need an all-in-one integrated marketing department, we’ve got in-house expertise at every level of the marketing spectrum.

Six years after founding PAB Studios in Wakefield, Mick was joined by Camille Johnson.

Both set out to increase turnover in the automotive sector and smashed it becoming very well known in the industry for their straight-talking, jargon-free style.

We have now been doing marketing and design for quite a long time and we have become rather good at it.

Fast forward to 2019 and the duo are still working side-by-side, taking us into our 30th year.

It’s all in the mix…

Not the 2005 film ‘In The Mix’ starring Usher, because that was rubbish and got 13% on Rotten Tomatoes.

We’re talking about getting you in the full marketing mix.

The importance of branding

We’ve got so many ways of connecting with companies, products and services these days.

Trends come and go in a flash, technology evolves at frightening rates and attention spans fade faster than you can say ‘Facebook feed’.

Your brand is the one constant in all of this, a flagpole planted firmly in the shifting sands. It’s the foundation, the building blocks. A solid brand identity gives you the confidence to go out and make your business a success.

We’re not just talking about logos and colours here; your brand is everything. It’s the public face of you, your values and your personality. It’s every single experience a customer has with your business, and the perceptions that they form as a result. It’s what you want your audience to feel about you and your products.

Drive sales with a content marketing strategy

A website without good content is like a pie with no filling; it’ll bring people to the shop window for a closer look, but they’ll be left disappointed and end up going to Greggs* (your competitor).

What’s the point in your customers pressing their noses against the display glass when they could be tucking into a hot, flaky, satisfying lump of meat – or vegan equivalent – and pastry?

Expect these mind-blowing analogies and much more with PAB’s bespoke content marketing services.

A content marketing strategy is there to keep your audience engaged with things they find valuable – that could be a handy how-to guide, an informative infographic for social media or a video tour of your product.

Wakefield content marketing

Search engines love sites which get people coming back for more – so a content marketing strategy is the perfect accompaniment to a good SEO setup (like adding mushy peas and gravy to your pie. Mmm).

Like a pie, trust doesn’t grow on trees. It needs to be crafted. Consistently producing content which your users find useful and which establishes your business as an industry leader is the way to do this online.

We’ll help you identify potential topics based on your target audience, keyword research and competitor analysis. Then you can tell us all about your areas of expertise and all the lovely nuggets of knowledge you can pass on to your visitors.

From there, we can start to flesh out a strategy and our team of writers, designers and developers can get to work on some delicious filling for the content.

Is the pie tasty? That’s the key. We’ll keep a close eye on the performance of your content campaigns to make sure they’re hitting their objectives – we can learn what works well and do more of that, then remove anything which isn’t good enough.

*disclaimer: other high-street budget bakeries are also available. Pound Bakery is better anyway.

t’s 2025 and the relationship between your website and Google is still like one of those American high-school films about unrequited love. Like the spotty computer nerd trying to woo the popular cheerleader, none of your tactics seem to work.

You try to impress them with a bold statement. They ignore you. You lavish endless gifts upon them and they still don’t give you the time of day. Where exactly are you going wrong?

Let Wakefield’s PAB Studios be your SEO agony aunt.

We’re here to offer practical, actionable advice on the steps you need to take in order to fulfil your site’s potential.

Gone are the days of filling a page with keywords and waiting for it to hit first position on Google.

SEO – Search Engine Optimisation – is constantly evolving and it can be hard to keep up.

Our structured, data-driven approach to Search Engine Optimisation covers technical, on-page and off-page SEO in line with the latest best practices. We always look long-term and are wary of any claims of rapid-fire results.

A solid SEO strategy should stand the test of time and bring sustainable, scalable digital marketing results well into the future.

That includes:

• Keyword and competitor analysis
• Technical site audit
• On-page search engine optimisation
• User-friendly design
• Content marketing strategy
• Link building
• Monitoring and analytics reports

There’s no one-size-fits-all strategy. Our integrated approach ensures any SEO changes we make are informed by your unique goals – it’s only worth driving traffic to your site if it converts into sales and makes a genuine impact on your business.

What exactly is SEO?

That’s a good question! It’s a complex topic and a lot of people struggle to get their head round it. That’s why we wrote this nifty little blog post with a nice SEO analogy:

SEO – or Search Engine Optimisation, as its Mum would call it when she’s angry – is defined as “the process of maximizing the number of visitors to a particular website by ensuring that the site appears high on the list of results returned by a search engine.”

We use the term ‘organic traffic’ when talking about visits to your website which come naturally through the list of search engine results as opposed to paid advertising.

There are many different search engines of course, but with Google taking about 92% of the global market share, we’re going to put our focus there.

Organic also applies to social media campaigns which don’t involve any kind of monetary push.

Our social feeds are clogged with content.

Sometimes it feels like we’re in a room full of shouty bigmouths, clambering over each other to grab any tiny morsel of attention.

It’s the storytellers who stand out. Those who can make real connections.

The PAB approach is centred around context and quality. It also focuses on making paid and organic social media work together in harmony, delivering your messages consistently and effectively across platforms.

Delivering valuable content to the right person, through the right channel, at the right time, all the while keeping your end business goals at the forefront.

A profitable social media strategy needs a proper plan, with a proper schedule that ties in seamlessly with your content strategy and utilises video content.

We’ll set out a plan based on your goals, values and audience, whether you’re looking to attract new customers, offer more value to existing ones or raise general brand awareness.

Whether it’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Tik Tok or Timbuktu, each social media channel requires a bespoke approach, with varying audience types and consumption habits.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach – but there is a huge opportunity there to tell your story in different ways, to expose your brand to different audiences.

We can cater your content for specific channels and deliver it to a hyper-targeted audience set, ensuring the tone and messaging is on-the-money. As a reputable design agency, we always ensure your social media content aligns with your business’ branding.

TV ads have the power to burn themselves into our collective consciousness like no other medium. An unforgettable advert can take a brand to new levels of awareness for years and even decades to come – it’s like rocket fuel for brands.

Isn’t TV dying, though? Isn’t everything online now? Nope.

We’re still watching almost 4 hours of television each day, and record numbers were spent on TV advertising last year.

It remains the most-effective short-term advertising medium – returning an ROI of £1.73 for every £1 spent.

How else could you reach 90% of the UK population in just one week?

Our experienced team have created enduring and effective TV ads for a range of different audiences across multiple niches.

From concept to creation, we can craft an advert to elevate your business beyond its current level – and it will be even more effective when combined with a press or radio campaign.

With Account Managers who know the industry inside-out, we’ll make sure the ad runs at the most effective time, on the most appropriate channels – then report back with all the key metrics to make sure we’re getting you the best possible returns on your spend.

Viewer habits change, and TV ads need to change with them. We keep a close eye on the latest trends, forecasts and industry practices to ensure that your TV ad is leading the competition rather than following the crowd.
