Aura Public Relations is a specialist PR agency based in Nottinghamshire.

Hi, I’m Becky, Director at Aura PR and I have been running the company since October 2019. I first joined the company when it was under the leadership of the previous owner. At the time I needed a role with the flexibility to work around my children but also stay within the area I love – PR and marketing.

I was incredibly lucky to work with an excellent boss who quickly spotted my skills and saw the benefit of allowing my role to develop. During this time, I grew my position from Marketing Executive and then into the Marketing Account Manager position. Over the years we worked for some great clients on a diverse range of projects from driving PR opportunities, building website, crafting award entries and creating dynamic CPD presentations.

Going from being the employee at Aura PR to the owner was a very sudden venture. At the time it was a case of sink or swim, so I rolled up my sleeves and got stuck in. The journey has been eventful at times but above all else it’s incredibly rewarding.

Aura PR is owned and led by Julia Smith who has been delivering winning marketing solutions for clients in all kinds of sectors for more than 21 years.

Julia set up Aura PR in 1994 and has been building close relationships with specialist media, securing exclusive coverage and negotiating enviable media deals ever since.

Passionate about getting the best for her clients, Julia has a specialist knowledge of construction products and education, and has proved she can turn her hand to almost anything, with satisfied clients in sectors from health & beauty to telecommunications.

Julia has a degree in education, a diploma in marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
