I create bespoke website designs for small companies, organisations and charities. I work mostly in WordPress and Shopify.
Learning WordPress is one of the most useful things you can do, because so many websites use it as a platform. The knowledge you gain here is transferrable to other platforms, though we believe not all content management systems are created equal.
You will how to install your own WordPress site and gain some basic knowledge on how to add content. I also give some more advanced tips for advanced users who want to get more out of the WordPress system. I will continue adding to these over time.
My clients are varied and include artists, writers, publishers, musicians and charities. I can organise hosting and domains as necessary, or work with a clients existing hosting arrangements.
I work mostly with clients in Kent and the south east but also collaborate remotely with people based everywhere in the UK.
Applegreen is me, Stephanie Boucher. I have more than ten years’ experience in creating and running websites for small businesses and organisations.
A former scientist and then journalist, I work hard to keep abreast of technical advances and make sure my clients get the benefit. I pride myself on good communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy being part of a creative team.
I work from my home in Great Chart, Kent. When I’m not working, I enjoy vegetable gardening, walk a dog every day and play recorders and melodeon. I love making bread, sauerkraut and fermenting generally.
