Before starting Sponge back in 2004, Alex spent the first 10 years of his career in various marketing roles with Nestlé, Johnson & Johnson and, latterly, Campbell Soup Co. Sponge has grown steadily since and, in 2018, was listed in Design Week’s Top 100.
Outside of work, Alex is a keen fitness enthusiast and baker. His dogs, numerous chickens, tortoises and gerbils along with a bid to become more self-sufficient by growing his own veggies, keep him and his wife Lorraine very busy!

First and foremost we’re a creative agency. Our roots lie in branding, advertising and print – there’s nothing we love more than creating a new visual identity or ad campaign. But, over the years (20 of them!), we’ve grown to offer much more. Digital, social, animation and video are all part of our mix.
