We’re Ayup (pronounced ‘ey·up’), a digital product studio from Yorkshire working across the UK.
We use good design, smart thinking and clever tech to fix health and social problems.
Two industry recognised standards guide our work: the Better Digital Services Principles for Charities, and the Government Digital Service Standards.
This means you get a human-centred approach full of co-design and sensible development practice. That you build the right thing in the right way.
All our work is social purpose. Charities, public sector and other not-for-profit organisations make up our clients.
We believe tech was always meant to be for good. In a nutshell we are a design and marketing company and we are reet good.
Over the past 10 years we have had the privilege of working for some great organisations in the public and third sector who are all striving to use tech to make the world a better place. We have amassed a wealth of experience delivering a wide range of digital platforms, from a an online health booking system to a journaling app for the future leaders of the NHS.
A commission from The Royal Borough of Kingston Council marked the beginning of a shift in our focus in 2018. The council were looking to co-design and develop a digital platform to support social prescribing in the borough.
This led to the creation of Connected Kingston, an open-source directory of services created in collaboration with RBK that connects people to resources in their local community. Since then we have continued to develop the platform with other councils and third sector organisations, adding new features and functionality all geared around helping people find the support they need to live their best lives.
Fast forward to 2022 where we made the decision to focus all of our experience, knowledge and skills to concentrate our efforts into the one particular problem space where we believe we can have the most impact.
